From My Glam Bag - Zoya Piaf

Hey Guys!

Today's post is about a polish I got in my Ipsy Glam Bag this month!

Zoya Piaf. 2 Coats. This is a baby mustard color with silver sparkle. This is really pretty. Its not a color I would normally gravitate toward, so I'm happy I got this in my glam bag. I would have never picked it out myself. I really love how this looks on my skin tone, and I love how it goes on. For a yellow, this is smooth, opaque, and beautiful!

If you haven't heard of Glam Bag, its a monthly subscription service for beauty samples and full-size items. The Zoya is a full-size polish I got in my bag along with 4 other items, and all for $10!

Check out my video of my "unboxing" of my Glam Bag to see what else I got!

BH Cosmetics Jenni Rivera Palette - Swatches + Review

Hey guys!!

Today's post is a review and of the BH Cosmetics Jenni Rivera Palette. I decided on this palette when I wanted to try BH Cosmetics because its a "unique" palette to BH, meaning that the exact copy isn't also on Coastal Scents and Sedona Lace (like the 88 eyeshadow palettes). None of the colors have specific names, so they will just be swatched in order as to how they appear in the palette.

Swatches of Row 1

Swatches of Row 2

Swatches of Row 3

Swatches of Blush Row
Overall, this palette is Okay. The pigmentation just isn't there for some of the colors. The matte shades and matte blushes especially are powdery and chalky. Some of the colors, on the other hand, are ridiculously pigmented and smooth and very nice! The bad isn't anything I can't work with, however. Some of the colors work better wet rather than dry (as demonstrated in the video below), but I think overall all these colors are useable and this palette is great for a quick look and to travel with. This palette is on sale now for 50% off, for that price, I think this palette is completely worth it! I got it for the reduced price, and I'm very happy with the product considering the price I paid!

These are the looks I achieved with this palette. Can you tell that I love the green in this palette?

Check out my video below for a review and demo/tutorial showing how I got the second look above!

NOTD: Baby Blue and Fuzz!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to hop on really quick and post my nail of the day.

Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Color Club Factory Girl 2 Coats
Fuzz-Sea from Sally Hansen - 1 coat on accent nail

I love this combo! Its really cute and summery. Still getting used to the Fuzzy Coat polishes, but I think this color combination works well. My accent nail has 2 coats of top coat over it to smooth it out over the fuzzies.

That's it today. Really quick post!

2 Summer Coral Polishes

Hey guys!

Its almost summer!!! I'm loving neons and summer colors, especially because its been really really hot in LA lately. Sunny So-Cal... woo?

Anyways, Today's post is 2 of my favorite coral polishes I just picked up recently. One of them is a really close dupe to my ALL TIME favorite toe color for summer. Here's the pictures:

Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Bikini by Julie G. 3 coats. Holy hell, neon! I don't usually like neon pinks or corals on my fingers, and this color isn't an exception. This is basically gonna be a toe color, and its a really close dupe for China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, though this seems a tiny bit more pinky. Formula was pretty good, but as usual it dries to a matte finish, so topcoat is necessary

Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Maybelline Color Show in Coral Crush. 2 Coats. This is a really pretty true coral polish. Again, this is a color that I'll get more use out of on my toes rather than my hands, but its so pretty and I think its perfect for my toes!

I'm loving the coral trend and I'm excited to wear these on my toes if I can ever manage to pry Flip Flop Fantasy off my toes (I just love it too much!)

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Swatches + Review

Heya!

Today on the blog I've got swatches of 4 of the Fuzzy Coat polishes I picked up from Sally Hansen.

Now, if you read my blog/watch my channel, you guys know I HATE the textured polish trend. Its awful. I like smooth polish, so I'm not feeling the liquid sand/gumdrop/textured trend. The Fuzzy Coats are technically a "textured nail color" according to the bottle, but I'm okay with it because I can add gelous and a lot of topcoat and they are smooth and still look cool, so I decided to buy it.

Fuzzy Fantasy. White and light green "fuzz" in a clear base. 2 Coats over black. This was my first attempt at playing with these Fuzzy Coats so the swatch sucks, but its interesting.

All Yarned Up. 2 Coats over White. Light pink, blue, and yellow "fuzz" in a clear base. This one is really pretty. I really like it a lot. Its the only one I have that has more than 2 colors of the fuzzy in it.

Tweedy. 2 coats over coral. Black and White "fuzz" in clear base. This one is pretty awesome and when I put it over a neon, it reminds me of the 80s! I like black/white combos, I think it just looks cool!

Fuzz-Sea. 2 Coats over coral. Turquoise and Yellow "fuzz" in a clear base. This one is hands down my favorite. Love the color combo, its very summer. This one is an exact dupe for Nails Inc Feather Effect in Brighton.

So, these are interesting. I definitely will never wear them alone, or without topcoat because the bumpy-ness of these annoys the crap out of me, but worn with enough topcoat and gelous over it, they are awesome. I gotta say, they look cool, and even when they are on so thick that they cover the color below it, it can easily be smoothed out with topcoat.

Overall, the formula on these was interesting. I feel like they were a little goopy, but that's probably because of the "fuzz"in them. It was hard to layer beyond 2 coats because it got think and it bunched up (See my ring finger in the first picture) but, I think with a little bit of patience, these can work out pretty nicely!

My Picks - Beautifully Disney Wickedly Beautiful Collection

Hey guys!

Today's post is another one made with beautysets.com. I just can't get enough of that site!

I've had a couple of people email me and ask me what are some of my absolute favorite items from Beautifully Disney's Wickedly Beautiful Collection. Someone asked me because she is going to Walt Disney World and wants to know what I think before buying anything. So, I put this together to show what my 4 absolute favorites are.

Let me say, however, that I love pretty much everything from this collection. All the colors are pretty and the shadows are awesome quality. For a full review/swatches of the nail polishes and swatches, click here. These are just the items that I find myself reaching for the most, and in fact I bought a backup of the lip gloss that I featured because I'm obsessed and wear it to work daily when I just want to slap something on and head out the door!

Have any of you gotten anything from this collection? What do you think? Do you have favorites?

Pastel Eyes Palette from Forever 21 - Swatches + Review

Hey guys!

Today's post is about a palette I saw a little while ago at Forever 21, but I didn't wanna get it because I didn't think it would be that great. I looked up swatches and reviews and between all that and Emily from Beauty Broadcast saying it actually was pretty good, I decided to go pick it up... and I'm very glad I did! I love this palette! The best part? It was $6!! Yes, only SIX DOLLARS!

Pastel Eye Palette from Love and Beauty by Forever 21:

None of these colors have names, but they are gorgeous. They are all super pigmented and go on really smooth. This whole palette is shimmer supreme. There is no matte shades at all, but I love shimmer so its really okay! The only thing is that only half of this palette is "pastel" the other half is bold and bright. I don't think that's a bad thing, but I kinda wish there was a pastel minty green in here..... I'm just obsessed with mint greens!

Below is a look I put together with this palette:

For this look, I used the first color in the palette, a creamy color in the inner corner, the copper color on the lid, the silver on the outer corner, and the teal smudged along the lower lashline. I really love how it turned out, and I really love this palette. Its going to be perfect for summer!!! I'm planning on going out and getting more stuff from Forever 21 to play with. I'll post it up when I do!

NOTD: Neon + Stamping

Hey everyone!

Today's NOTD was something I came by by accident. I knew I wanted to do something neon because I'm obsessed with neons lately (check out my Summer Neon Gradient Tutorial) so I just started painting my nails with the green, but I had this idea to stamp a neon over white to see what it would look like.... this is what I came up with.

For this manicure I used China Glaze Kiwi Cool-ada, Sally Hansen Whirlwind White, and China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy to stamp with. I actually really like how this turned out! I used one of the Salon Express stamping plates for the flower design.

What do you think? Are you obsessed with any types of shades lately?

Jasmine Storylook Palette Tutorial

Hey guys!

I'm trying something new today. I was watching Beauty Broadcast Live this morning with emilynoel83 on YouTube and she was telling us about beautysets.com where you can make tutorials and lookbooks and things like that and it makes it really easy, so I decided to give it a shot and I made a tutorial that someone had asked me for weeks ago.

Beautysets.com was really fun and I really love how my tutorial turned out. Check it out!

Beautysets - ONI Tutorials

Let me know if you guys like this and I will continue doing tutorials like this both for nails and makeup. Lorac Pro Palette - Swatches + Review

Howdy!!

Today on the blog I have swatches of the Lorac Pro palette and a mini review.

All the names in this palette describe the color perfectly, so I won't be doing a color breakdown like I usually do. That being said, on to the pictures!!

I love how sleek and pretty this palette looks. The only downside to the packaging is that it gets really dirty, really quickly because of the finish. Its kind of a satin-y kind of finish to the cardboard  and it attracts dust and shadow like no other!

I love that this palette has one row of shimmer and one row of matte. Makes for a huge variety of looks that can be created!

The Matte Shades

The Shimmer Shades

All these shadows are beautiful and smooth, almost creamy even the matte shades (which really impressed me!). They are gorgeous and so easy to blend and I gotta say, I'll probably reach for this more than my Naked 2 Palette! My favorites in this palette are Gold, Slate, Black, Mauve and Sable (which I use for my eyebrows) Overall, its a beautiful and fantastic palette to work with! So happy I broke down and got it.

This palette is $42 and can be found at Ulta, Sephora, or loraccosmetics.com

NOTD: Barry M Lilac Foil + Glitter

Hey guys!!

I just have a quick NOTD today, which I've actually been wearing for a couple of days, so please excuse the tipwear on the pictures below!

my NOTD is Barry M Lilac Foil with an accent nail of Jade Twinkling Purple. Jade is a brand I get at my nail supply store for $1. I usually go for their glitters since they're really gorgeous.

I thought this look would be really pretty for spring... and as soon as I put it on, the next day is started to rain. So much for spring weather we were having! Enough of that...on to the pictures! (Also excuse the cut on my cuticle. My skin is so dry because of the flip-floping weather. Hot then cold... make up your mind, so-cal!

That's it for today! Tomorrow I will have swatches of the Lorac Pro Palette on the blog :)

As always, thanks for reading!
