Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 10

Today is the day I wrap up my Fall Favorites series. I'm wrapping it up with probably my favorite color for this fall and surprise, surprise its from China Glaze.

China Glaze It's Alive. Yep. I just love this color. That's all I can really say. L.O.V.E.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed this series! I will probably be doing one for Winter as fall progresses... but mostly fall and winter colors are interchangeable :) though I have more Halloweenish colors for fall while I feel like I want more festive, frosty, Christmasy colors for Winter. Anyways, thanks for following my series!

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 9

Today's color comes from the drugstore. It is from last year's Sinful Colors DARK collection:

Femme Fatale from Sinful Colors. Beautiful shimmery blue with light blue micro glitter. This totally reminds of 9 to 5 The Musical in the scene where Judy is having her fantasy... And the name fits that perfectly. This color reminds me of the blue dress Stephanie J. Block (the actress that played Judy on Broadway) wore for that number. Anyways... another dark color with something special. This seems to be a running theme for me this fall :)

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 8

Today's post is yet another CG Metro Collection color :)

China Glaze CG in the City. Navy blue base with silver and light blue glitter. I knew I had to have this color as soon as I saw it swatched! Absolutely in love! Check out more China Glaze Metro colors here

Hope you're enjoying my Fall Favorites series!

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 7

Today's Fall Favorites comes from a recent favorite brand I started loving. Milani.

Milani One Coat Glitter in Silver Dazzle. Just like the name implies this is a beautiful dazzling silver glitter. Its not quite a one coat glitter but its like.... a coat and a half. It really only needed a second coat to even things out. Fantastic color! The only issue I have is that its really gritty and I have to have perfectly smooth nails or I go crazy so I use a mountain of topcoat on this sucker... but that's to be expected for loaded glitters like this one. I still love it regardless! Check out more Milani reviews here.

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 6

Yet another China Glaze color has made this list (can you tell CG is my favorite brand?). Anyways today I bring to you a color from this year's Halloween collection:

Haunting. Black base loaded with silver glitter. I am obsessed with blacks that have a little something to them. Check out my post on the Haunting collection here

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 5

Today is day 5 of my Fall Favorites... I realized I have quite a bit of China Glaze Metro collection in this series... I'm gonna call it my favorite collection for this fall 2011 :) On to today's color:

China Glaze Concrete Catwalk. Its the color of wet concrete... that's what it reminds me of. Its such a perfect grey creme with perfect 2 coat application. I just overall absolutely LOVE this color!

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 4

Today's Fall Favorite is from Sinful Colors from I believe last year's Halloween collection.

Sinful Colors Love Bite. Black base with turquoise micro glitter/shimmer. I love this color so much because its a black but it still has some color to it. I love Sinful Colors. They are so cheap ($1.99) but the quality is fantastic! This is one of my favorites that I own... especially around Halloween time! :)

Wickedly Green: Go Go Green

So, tonight I was in a musical theatre kind of mood so I put on a DVD of Wicked I have and while watching it I was inspired to Wicked-ify my nails :) One of the actresses that played Elphaba (the "wicked" witch) once said she used this color on her nails on stage... so of course, being as obsessed with the show as I was, I went out and bought 3 bottles of this color back in the day (haha?) Anyways... on to the pictures...

 Flash
No Flash
L'oreal Express Finish in Go Go Green. Orly Bonder basecoat, 2 coats, Seche Vite Topcoat. I LOVE this color. Not only is it "Wicked" green but its such a beautiful green with intense gold shimmer. I actually haven't worn this color in so long so I forgot how beautiful and magical it is. So glad I put this on :)

Back to watching Wicked!
....remember: "Pink goes good with green!"

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 3

Today is Day 3 of my Fall Favorites and here's today's color:

Lucertainly Look Marvelous from OPI. 3 coats. Top picture is with flash, bottom is no flash. This color came out with last fall's Swiss collection. This color is beautiful its a smoky silver with silver glitter. Can't wait to start wearing this more regularly once it stops being so hot and I can't get away with neons anymore.

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 2

Here's is today's Fall Favorite:

Revlon Emerald City (Matte Suede). 2 coats, no basecoat, no topcoat. This color is a suede finish... its not completely matte but its not glossy either. First picture is no flash, second is with flash. I love green. Its my favorite color. Any green any finish anything. Green is the best so of course, green has to be in my top 10. This color is perfect for fall because of the matte suede finish and its a dark emerald green. Its dark enough to be a good fall color but still colorful enough for my loud personality! LOVE!

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 1

Over the next 10 days, I will be revealing my favorite colors for the upcoming fall season (in no particular order, I like all of these equally). All of these colors I picked out from my stash and some I know I will be wearing like crazy. So without further delay here's day 1:

China Glaze Trendsetter. If you click on the link you'll go to my post about this color. In short, this color is beautiful. I thought I would hate it but instead I love it. Its a gorgeous mustard yellow with yellow shimmer. I know I'll be wearing this color a lot.

Jesse's Girl Mermaid's Lagoon v. China Glaze Custom Kicks

Yesterday I picked up Mermaid's Lagoon from Jesse's Girl from the new Julie G collection. When I first saw it I immediately thought of Custom Kicks from China Glaze so I thought I'd do a little comparison. As it is labeled, Custom Kicks is on the pointer and ring and Mermaid's Lagoon is on the middle and pinky.

And here's a bottle picture comparison of the two:

As you can see, the shimmer on Mermaid's Lagoon is much more apparent both in the bottle and on the nail. It was actually hard to photograph the shimmer in the Custom Kicks bottle but with Mermaid's Lagoon it was not a problem at all. As far as the differences in the shimmer, Custom Kicks is much more of a yellow gold whereas Mermaid's Lagoon is much more of a coppery gold. The base color is similar for both but the Custom Kicks base turquoise is slightly lighter.

So... they are definitely different enough for me to justify having them both... and that's the story I'm sticking with. Until next time!
