Good Morning! Merry Christmas to those celebrating today and Happy Hannukah to those celebrating that holiday! I'm just about to unwrap presents and do a family breakfast. After that, I'll get things organized to pick my Secret Santa giveaway winners!!
Also, I will try to post the first video in my collection series in the next few days. Its going to start off with China Glaze polishes :) Hope you guys look out for that!
Today's post is kind of a fail in the sense that I'm not sure if I like how it turned out, but I'm posting it anyways!
Base is Milani 3D Holographic in 3D. (1 coat) with 2 coats of China Glaze Twinkle Lights on top. I like it in the sense that its glittery and awesome, but I just don't know something feels off about it. I'm still keeping it as my Christmas Day mani anyways haha.
I hope you guys are enjoying your holiday! Have a fantastic day!!!
Thanks for reading, until next time!

30 Days of Untrieds - Day 12
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope everyone has a great day filled with friends, family and food! My family is going the non-traditional route this year and we're not having turkey (thank goodness, I hate turkey). Instead, we're having an Argentinian barbecue and empanadas (meat pies, so good!). I'm really excited for dinner tonight!
Anyways, on to today's untried color which is from the Milani 3D Holographic line:
HD. 3 coats. Grainy holographic silver. I love this. This is one of two holographic silvers I own. The other is Color Club Worth the Risque. This is much grainier than WTR but I actually like this because it feels glitterier (yes, that's a word). My pictures only capture the holographic glitter but in certain lights, it does become a grainy linear holographic effect. The formula was pretty good. Overall, these Milani 3D Holographic colors are a little sheer but build up very nicely. I no own the entire collection and I love them all!!!

30 Days of Untrieds - Day 3
Today's untried is a pink holo that I got not too long ago!
Milani Digital. 3 coats. Pink with grainy holo effect. I really love this. I'm not much for wearing pink/red on my fingers but I reallllyy love this! From previous experience with the other Milani 3D holographics, these tend to be a little on the sheer side but they build up very nicely. I'm really impressed with this Milani line... doesn't hurt that they're holo :)!

"Confetti" Glitters comparison.
Good morning on this beautiful rainy So-Cal morning! I have a blogger dilemma today. I LOVE the rain and cold, but that also means there's no sunshine meaning no light to swatch :( I have so much to swatch too! Enough complaining on to today's post:
Today's post is a comparison of 4 different glitters. They're all multi-colored "confetti" glitter.

Index (and bottle): OPI Rainbow Connection from the Muppets Collection
Middle: Milani Gems
Ring: Bedazzled from Claire's
Pinky: Snowman multi color glitter from Rite Aid
(I have 4 of the Snowman glitters from this year to show you... Swatches coming soon!)
3 coats each. I think my favorite is actually Bedazzled from Claire's. It had the best coverage in 3 coats. Rainbow Connection, Bedazzled and Gems are all multi color, multi size and multi shaped glitters, the Snowman multicolor glitter is multicolor, same sized glitter. They are all really pretty and I'm fairly certain they are all close dupes for Deborah Lippmann's Happy Birthday (Which is at least twice as expensive as any of these). Do any of you own Happy Birthday? What do you think? I love multi-color glitters!!

China Glaze Tinsel Town + A Comparison
More delicious glitter from Let it Snow:
China Glaze. Tinsel Town. Sheer blue-toned grey base loaded with blue-toned silver glitter. This is not a color I was expecting in a holiday collection but its beautiful so I definitely don't mind! When I first saw it, It reminded me of Milani Silver Dazzle so I figured I'd compare the two:
You can't even really see much of a difference here....
Milani Silver Dazzle on the pointer and ring fingers
Tinsel Town on the middle and pinky.
They are definitely close but they are also different. I feel like Silver Dazzle is more of a purple-grey toned silver whereas Tinsel Town is more blue-toned. Both gorgeous colors I feel like they're different enough to merit owning both. yep.

Top 10 Fall Favorites: Day 7
Today's Fall Favorites comes from a recent favorite brand I started loving. Milani.
Milani One Coat Glitter in Silver Dazzle. Just like the name implies this is a beautiful dazzling silver glitter. Its not quite a one coat glitter but its like.... a coat and a half. It really only needed a second coat to even things out. Fantastic color! The only issue I have is that its really gritty and I have to have perfectly smooth nails or I go crazy so I use a mountain of topcoat on this sucker... but that's to be expected for loaded glitters like this one. I still love it regardless! Check out more Milani reviews here.

Drugstore Gems: Milani Glitters and Holographics
For my first post I thought I would do something simple and affordable so I decided to do a series of my favorite drugstore polish lines. First up: Milani!
I originally bought Milani's Silver Dazzle and Gems because I had seen swatches online and they both looked fantastic so when I was browsing in Target one day, I was undecided on what to get (polish overload!) so I decided on those 2 polishes.
Silver Dazzle. 2 Coats + 1 coat Out the Door Topcoat. Black, silver and charcoal glitter. Tons and tons of glitter. This is from the One Coat Glitter line and although its not exactly a one coater, I still love this color so much that one more quick coat isn't a big deal, I had no problems with application and it dries fairly fast and it dries matte and very gritty so a top coat (or many coats of topcoat) is a must. I have a feeling I'm going to be sporting this color a lot this fall/winter and even though its a dark color, I'm loving it this summer because of the way it catches the sun.
Gems. 4 Coats. This is from the Jewel FX line. Multi-colored hex glitter in a clear base. Its like a party in a bottle. This is definitely a layering polish, its not dense enough to wear on its own. I've worn it over white before and it reminds me of a confetti cupcake or something like that it looked awesome. The only problem with application is that it isn't dense so to get a decent amount of polish you need multiple coats, but the effect is so gorgeous that I really don't care.
So since I had a fairly good experience with my first 2 Milani polishes, today I was at CVS picking up a few things and I saw the 3D Holographic line. Needless to say I was intrigued so I picked up 4 of the colors (because I had a coupon for $5 off my purchase... that's a free Milani!) and the holographic claim of this line didn't disappoint!
Left to Right: Cyberspace, Hi-Tech, Hi-Res, 3D
Cyberspace. 3 coats, no topcoat. Light blue (almost baby blue) base with holographic goodness throughout. The base on this is beautiful! Its bright and soft at the same time. I will without a doubt be sporting this color sometime very soon!
Hi-Tech. 3 coats, no topcoat. Vibrant lemon-lime green with yellow tones as a base and the same amazing holo effect through that's found in the other polishes from this line. The base color is so gorgeous, unique and so bright its almost in neon territory (though not quite) and the holo effect on this is really strong (even more so than in the others it seems like). One of my absolute favorite greens that I will probably wear to death for the rest of the summer!
Hi-Res. 3 Coats, no topcoat. Gorgeous light and bright purple base color. Another great summer base color and the holo when it hits the sun makes it even better. Same dry time and holo effect as the others.
3D. 3 coats, no topcoat. A non-brassy, true gold base. Its not too warm so I think it would be great on a variety of skin tones. I feel like this color doesn't have as much of a holographic effect as the others do, it might just be the fact that the gold is so true that it kind of washes out the holographic effect. I'm not really sure but it really doesn't seem as strong as the others.
Overall: The drying time on these polishes was very fast! I was impressed. It didn't take very long before I was able to apply the next coat. The formula was a little sheer so each color needed 3 coats but it was a dream to work with. It wasn't too thick or goopey like holo or glitter polishes tend to be.
My impression of Milani overall is that they have amazing, high quality polishes for drugstore prices. I am very, very impressed and I will probably buy many many more... starting with the rest of the 3D Holographics!
