12 Days of Christmas: Day 8 - Icy Mixed Mani

Today's Christmas post is a mixed manicure with an icy theme. Snow, Snowflakes, and a snow man! :) Below I list everything I used.

Sunlight

Shade

Pictured above is everything I used: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Silver Sweep, Color Club Factory Girl, Color Club Cold Metal, China Glaze Lorelai's Tiara, China Glaze White on White, China Glaze Snow Globe, Wet n' Wild Black Creme, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Sun Kissed, Sinful Colors Queen of Beauty, NYC Starry Silver Glitter (Just used the blue glitter to accent a couple of nails), Salon Express Image Plate SE20.

I really love this mixed mani. It took me forever to do, though. I got a lot of inspiration from Cute Polish on YouTube and the rest I just played with until I liked how it looked. I really love this!! What do you guys think? Any tips and tricks to nail art? I'm fairly new at it... still just experimenting.

Thanks for reading, until next time!

12 Days of Christmas: Day 5 - Mistletoe Kisses

Happy Saturday! Anyone have any exciting plans? I kinda do... I work all weekend but I am going to Disneyland tonight for a few hours :) yay!

In today's 12 Days of Christmas post I bring you a color from last year's China Glaze holiday collection. I didn't pick up this collection because I was fairly a newbie to nail polish last year and I just didn't pick it up (and now I regret it). I got this bottle on ebay and I love it! On to the post:

Sunlight

Shade

Mistletoe Kisses. 3 coats. Emerald base with silvery/minty green glitter. WOW. I love this. Its no surprise that I'm a green lover and this color is perfect. Its formula is wonderful, very easy to build up and its opaque enough to wear alone! yay! I can't really say much more about this color other than I love it.

Thanks for reading, until next time!

12 Days of Christmas: Day 1 - "Snowman" Green Glitter

I'm kicking off the 12 days of Christmas with 4 of these super cute "Snowman" glitters I got at Rite-Aid. I'll be post these for the first 4 days of the series :) (Also, don't forget to enter my giveaway!!!)

Sunlight

Shade

Look at how cute the bottle is!

This color doesn't have a name it just says "Snowman" on the bottom. I have 3 more of these colors and none of them have a name. They're still so very pretty. This one is a green/gold glitter polish with the predominant color being green. 3 coats. This (like all of the snowman polishes I'm going to review) is a layering polish. Its very, very thick.. it was almost impossible to work with and I didn't want to thin it quite yet... but I did get it to work!

3 more of these in the next few days!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

China Glaze Snow Globe

Today is sadly the color from the Let it Snow collection.

Bottle picture of China Glaze Snow Globe.

Snow Globe over Holly-Day. Opal/pastel glitter in a clear base. this is really a cool layering color. Its beautiful. Its way too sheer to wear on its own but over other things its beautiful. Can't wait to try different combinations!

I hope you liked the colors I got from the Let it Snow collection. I didn't get the rest of the reds from this collection because I feel like I wouldn't get much use out of them. The collection over all was a huge hit. I love most of the colors! I would love all of them if reds actually looked good on me. Thanks for reading!

China Glaze Tinsel Town + A Comparison

More delicious glitter from Let it Snow:

China Glaze. Tinsel Town. Sheer blue-toned grey base loaded with blue-toned silver glitter. This is not a color I was expecting in a holiday collection but its beautiful so I definitely don't mind! When I first saw it, It reminded me of Milani Silver Dazzle so I figured I'd compare the two:

You can't even really see much of a difference here....

Milani Silver Dazzle on the pointer and ring fingers
Tinsel Town on the middle and pinky.

They are definitely close but they are also different. I feel like Silver Dazzle is more of a purple-grey toned silver whereas Tinsel Town is more blue-toned. Both gorgeous colors I feel like they're different enough to merit owning both. yep.

China Glaze Twinkle Lights

Christmas themed multi-glitter is today's color from Let it Snow

China Glaze Twinkle Lights. 3 coats. Gold, green and red glitter in a clear base. Holy Christmas glitter, batman! I have a lot of pictures of this one because I love this. Its so beautiful. I can't wait to wear this. I will probably be wearing it off and on all the way from November until January. As much as I can get away with it, I will wear it.

Twinkle Lights over Holly-Day.

Gah! So beautiful!

China Glaze Ring in the Red

Today's color is a red... now I don't normally do reds but I liked this color when I saw it

China Glaze Ring in the Red. 3 coats. Sheer pinkish-red jelly base loaded with tiny and medium red glitter. Its a very pretty color, but I'm not too partial to reds normally so I'm not sure about this color yet. I don't know if I'm going to actually wear this on my fingers but my toes will definitely get great use of this color. I do like the fact that its sheer enough to layer... I feel like I'm gonna get use of this a lot during the holidays.

China Glaze Glittering Garland

More from Let It Snow!!

China Glaze. Glittering Garland. 3 coats. Dark green jelly base with gold and green microglitter. Its almost like a glass fleck nail polish but not quite. I love this color. I don't even know what to even say about this color other than I love it. Its just perfect!

More from Let It Snow in the next few days!

China Glaze Icicle

More from the Let It Snow China Glaze collection:

China Glaze Icicle. 3 coats. Beautiful shimmery silver foil. I have a couple of other silvers but nothing quite like this one. Beautiful color. I couldn't stop staring at it when I swatched it. I wanted to keep this one on. I like that this collection has a lot more than just reds and greens and the usual holiday/Christmas colors. This is definitely a win. Good job, CG!

China Glaze Champagne Bubbles

Hello! Today I bring you another color from the Let It Snow 2011 holiday collection from China Glaze.

China Glaze Champagne Bubbles. 3 coats. True yellow gold with silver glitter. I feel like the formula on this is a little streaky and I'm not sure if I like the color on me or not but it is a really pretty color. I was surprised that the silver glitter actually was visible, usually metallic in metallic doesn't work so well but this one did. I'm still trying to decide if I like it on me, I'll give it a few more shots.
