Beautifully Disney Haunted Mansion Collection- Mini Lipstick Setswatches & review

Hi everyone!

Today's post is more Disney makeup. The one thing I love more than makeup and nail polish is Disney so the Beautifully a Disney line from the Disney Parks is right up my alley. I've reviewed the eye shadows, Polish, and glosses on here before from a few collections, but never the lipsticks. I was never much of a lipstick wearer until recently.  This last Disneyland trip, I decided to pick up a set of lipsticks to try and I ended up deciding on the Haunted Mansion collection lipstick set.  Beautifully Disney doesn't have any full size lipsticks, just the mini sets (at least not yet). Anyways, enough chatter... On to the pictures!

The front of the packaging. I love it. LOVE.

The back of the packaging has the name of the colors at the top, here you can also see the price. Not a really awful price, all things considered.

I decided to show a size comparison to a MAC lipstick, which I feel is s pretty universal size and packaging.

Look Alive is a gorgeous dark red with hints of brown. I feel like it's kind of that Pantone Marsala color of the year kind of shade, it's totally beautiful.

Ball and Chain is your classic bright fire engine red. There's not much more I can say about it.

Bride and Doom is a pale pink neutral. It's really pretty, but not particularly flattering on me, so I have to mix it with something else to look good on my skin tone.

Ghost Host is my favorite color of the bunch. It's a gorgeous pinky lavender color that is super flattering on me.

The formula on all these is pretty creamy and good. They're not particularly long lasting, like most non-matte lipsticks. They all have a cream finish and feel really comfortable on the lips.  Overall I have to say I really like these and I can't wait to get some more of these lipstick sets on future Disney trips!

ELF - Light and Dark blush palettes swatches & review

Hi everyone!

Today's post is another makeup one.  I haven't been able to do my nails in a little while because I've been making bows and filling orders and making bows generally wrecks my nails :( I will be getting some nail polish posts up soon as well!.

Today I have the new ELF (Eyes, Lips, Face) Blush palettes. They came out with 2, Light and Dark.  I picked these up at Old Navy for $8 each. Who knew Old Navy had ELF? Interesting...

Light Palette has the pale pinks and nude peachy type blush.  Its really pretty for that simple "flushed" look... or that just out of the cold look.

Dark palette has more of the darker "fall" type blushes.  My favorite is the bottom left, brick red with gold sparkles. Its so pretty!

Also, possibly my favorite thing about these palettes is that the individual colors pop out and you can mix and match between these 2 palettes, so if you want to darken up one of the "light" colors, you can or its great to take on a trip and have both light and dark blushes.

The formula on these is just like the Studio blushes, those are the $3.  All the blushes are pretty powdery, but they blend beautifully, so its not that big a deal... just know that powder will go everywhere, just like the studio blushes.  I really love the regular blushes, and to have this palette be the same quality made me really happy! You can get this at Old Navy, Target, and ELF's website.

NYX Wicked Lippies - Risque

Hi everyone! Its been a really long time, I know. I keep promising I'll be good about posting and I never do it. Whoops.

Anyways, its one of my new years' resolutions to start posting more and making more videos so I will be doing that.  I'm starting with a fabulous green lipstick.  As you  may or may  not know, my birthday is on St. Patty's Day and I kinda wanted this lipstick when I first saw it, but I never went out and got it.  The other day I was with a friend at Ulta and I happened to see the (completely picked over) display, and I decided to pick up the green lipstick for character looks and for my birthday! I will post a pic after my birthday with this actually on my lips, until then... a hand swatch will have to do!

Risque is a really gorgeous shimmery green "frost" lipstick. Its a perfect emerald green. Formula is smooth and it applies surprisingly well (I have problem lips and generally lipstick is a pain to apply). Its not particularly long wearing, but that's okay.  Its great for quick looks, costume looks or special occasions.

As always, thanks for reading!
