Sally Hansen Satin Glam Swatches + Review

Hiya!

Today on the blog I have swatches of 3 of the Satin Glam polishes from Sally Hansen.  These are really cool.  They're glittery polishes that dry to a satin finish (somewhere between matte and glossy). On to the pictures and review!

Teal Tulle. 2 Coats, Glittery teal.  This is my favorite of the ones I own. Its beautiful and even though it has a satin finish, it catches the sun beautifully! Definitely will be wearing this a lot this spring/summer I think.  I used this a while ago in a "Sully" from Monsters Inc/Monsters University mani with Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Grape Shifter on top and it was my favorite mani I did in a long time.  I forgot to take pictures of it (d'oh!) but next time I do it I will be sure to blog.

Silk Onyx.  2 Coats, black base shimmery silver throughout.  This is a really cool color, when it dries it kind of reminds me of a pencil, if that makes any sense! The color is beautiful and the finish is beautiful as well, the silver shimmer throughout catches the sun really nicely even if it is a satin finish.

Go Gold.  2 Coats, shimmery light gold.  This is really beautiful too, its much more glittery and in your face on the nails than the other 2 are, I feel like.  Its still a gorgeous color but I feel like I'm wearing a ground up coin on my nails or something, I don't know.  Something about this color I'm just not feeling.  I feel like the other 2 colors I own has shimmer that's a little more subtle, but not this guy.  Even with the satin finish, the brightness is definitely visible.

Overall, the formula on these guys is really good.  Really smooth and easy to put on and wear.  They also look great with a matte topcoat to make them completely matte, and they also look great with a glossy topcoat to make it a more traditional polish.  Wear time is pretty decent on these alone, but if a matte topcoat is put over it it lasts longer and the matte topcoats kind of satin out after a day or two of use.   I think that's about it!

My First Spa Ritual Polishes!

Hey Guys!!

Today I have swatches of my first 3 Spa Ritual polishes. I got these at Marshalls for $3.99 each and since I liked all the colors and have been meaning to try out this brand, I decided to go for it! Here we go:

Dreams Becoming Reality. 2 Coats. Deep teal. I love this kind of color. This is one of my favorite color families... the dark turquoise/teal color. This was among one of the nicest I've worked with formula wise. 2 coats for full opacity. Super easy to work with!

Shoot for the Stars. 2 coats. Medium red-toned purple. Super pretty color. I actually don't think I have anything this shade in my collection. Beautiful formula just like Dreams Becoming Reality.

Silver. 2 coats. Not the most exciting name ever, but it does the job of describing it. Great formula for a straight up silver. Not anything super unique or exciting about this color... but I love silvers!

Overall, I'm super happy with my first Spa Ritual experience. If you're a fan of this brand of have been meaning to try it out.. check your local Marshalls or TJ Maxx first... they might have a few of these you can try out for cheap!

From My Glam Bag - Zoya Piaf

Hey Guys!

Today's post is about a polish I got in my Ipsy Glam Bag this month!

Zoya Piaf. 2 Coats. This is a baby mustard color with silver sparkle. This is really pretty. Its not a color I would normally gravitate toward, so I'm happy I got this in my glam bag. I would have never picked it out myself. I really love how this looks on my skin tone, and I love how it goes on. For a yellow, this is smooth, opaque, and beautiful!

If you haven't heard of Glam Bag, its a monthly subscription service for beauty samples and full-size items. The Zoya is a full-size polish I got in my bag along with 4 other items, and all for $10!

Check out my video of my "unboxing" of my Glam Bag to see what else I got!

30 Days of Untrieds - Day 12

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving!! Hope everyone has a great day filled with friends, family and food! My family is going the non-traditional route this year and we're not having turkey (thank goodness, I hate turkey). Instead, we're having an Argentinian barbecue and empanadas (meat pies, so good!). I'm really excited for dinner tonight!

Anyways, on to today's untried color which is from the Milani 3D Holographic line:

HD. 3 coats. Grainy holographic silver. I love this. This is one of two holographic silvers I own. The other is Color Club Worth the Risque. This is much grainier than WTR but I actually like this because it feels glitterier (yes, that's a word). My pictures only capture the holographic glitter but in certain lights, it does become a grainy linear holographic effect. The formula was pretty good. Overall, these Milani 3D Holographic colors are a little sheer but build up very nicely. I no own the entire collection and I love them all!!!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

It's Alive
Haunting Pumpkin Spce
China Glaze Haunting Collection
Zom-body To Love
Enjoy! Now on to today's post:

Today's post is a holographic color!

Color Club Worth the Risque. 2 coats. Silver holographic microglitter. I've been looking for this color for a while and I ended up finding one last bottle at my nail polish place. I've actually wanted a silver holographic for a while and I'm so glad I found this. Its really pretty and pictures don't do it justice, its much more vibrant and holographic in person. Yay for holographic polishes!
