Baby Lips Electro Collection - Swatches & Review

Hey Guys!

Today's post is about the new Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Collection. I found these at Walmart just mixed in with the regular baby lips, so I'm not sure if they're limited edition or not, but they are pretty awesome!

Left to Right: Pink Shock, Strike a Rose, Oh! Orange, Fierce N Tangy, Minty Sheer, Berry Bomb

Minty Sheer and Fierce N Tangy are color-less so they aren't swatched above.

Pink Shock is hot pink
Strike a Rose is a pinky coral
Oh! Orange is orange (imagine that!)
Berry Bomb is a grape purple color

Strike a Rose is definitely my favorite from this collection. Its a gorgeous color. Second favorite would have to be Oh! Orange. I keep wanting to try orange lipstick, but I'm too afraid to pull off a real bold orange lip, so this is a good enough substitute! Berry Bomb is the sheerest of the colored balms in this collection, it takes a lot to get a little purple to show up.

These are awesome. I'm love Baby Lips. I have 2 of the regular ones and I loved those so when I heard they were coming out with a collection of "brights" I was alllll over it! I love the black packaging with the neon letters, I love the formula of these, I love the sheer wash of color and the easy slap on and go way these apply. I just love them all! I can't really say how much I love them, I just love them!!!

These would also be a very good way to begin getting in to bright lips if you're not comfortable with a full-on bright lip. With these you get a little wash of brightness, but its not overpowering!

You can find these at Walmart for $3 (and I'm sure other drugstores, I just haven't seen them anywhere else yet!). If you see them.... get them!!

Sation - Unicorns are Teal

Hey Guys!

Today's post is a polish from my most recent favorite color family... teal! Its also from a brand that's not super well-known to me, but I'm starting to dabble in to it.

Unicorns are Teal. 2 coats. Perfect teal creme. I love this color! Its a perfect teal. Formula is wonderful. The only other Sation polish I have came in a glam bag. Its a really sheer peachy-skin tone color. It doesn't really suit my skin tone so I don't really wear it. This one, I will get so much use out of! I love this!!!

A Couple Orly Glitters!

Hey Guys!

Today's post is about a couple of Orly glitters I found at Marshalls for $3.99 each. I was super drawn to them so I decided to pick them up! Check it out:

Mermaid Tale. 2 coats over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Jade Jump. Hex mint green glitter, hex holo glitter, small mint glitter in a clear base. This is such a gorgeous summer/mermaid mani... I fell in love this this and am still wearing it! The pictures aren't doing it justice.

Ultraviolet. 2 coats over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Lively Lilac. Blue-toned purple hex glitter and small magenta glitter in a clear base. This is awesome! I love how the two tones of purple mesh together to give this glitter extra dimension. I love this!

Love these two and I'm so glad I got them for a really great deal at my work (Marshalls!). You guys should stroll in to a Marshalls or TJ Maxx near you and see what they have... we are starting to get a lot of good stuff we never had before!

My First Spa Ritual Polishes!

Hey Guys!!

Today I have swatches of my first 3 Spa Ritual polishes. I got these at Marshalls for $3.99 each and since I liked all the colors and have been meaning to try out this brand, I decided to go for it! Here we go:

Dreams Becoming Reality. 2 Coats. Deep teal. I love this kind of color. This is one of my favorite color families... the dark turquoise/teal color. This was among one of the nicest I've worked with formula wise. 2 coats for full opacity. Super easy to work with!

Shoot for the Stars. 2 coats. Medium red-toned purple. Super pretty color. I actually don't think I have anything this shade in my collection. Beautiful formula just like Dreams Becoming Reality.

Silver. 2 coats. Not the most exciting name ever, but it does the job of describing it. Great formula for a straight up silver. Not anything super unique or exciting about this color... but I love silvers!

Overall, I'm super happy with my first Spa Ritual experience. If you're a fan of this brand of have been meaning to try it out.. check your local Marshalls or TJ Maxx first... they might have a few of these you can try out for cheap!

Color Show Polka Dots - Swatches and Review

Hey Guys!

In today's post I have 3 colors from the new Maybelline Color Show Polka Dots collection. I picked up the 3 of these that I was really interested in. I'm never really much of buying an entire collection when I know I'm not gonna wear some of it... so here we go!

Drops of Jade. 3 coats. Black and white polka dot glitter with white and black medium hex glitter in a mint jelly-ish base. I really love this one. This is my favorite of the 3 that I have. I could have gotten away with two coats, but I decided on 3. This was surprisingly really easy to work with!

Pretty in Polka. 3 Coats. Same glitter as Drops of Jade in a magenta jelly base. Another one whose formula is awesome. The magenta is really pigmented and gorgeous. Really love this one for summer!

Blue Marks the Spot. 4 coats. Light blue jelly with the same glitter as the others. This one was the problem child of the ones that I got. This was super sheer. This is 4 coats and as you can see, you can definitely still see my nails. The glitter isn't the problem in this one, just like its not in the others.... the base color is. I'm really disappointed with this one :(

Overall, the glitter in this is nice, spreads easily. I didn't have much of a problem with bald spots or the glitter bunching. It spread evenly and covered well. I really liked these... except for Blue Marks the Spot... I will probably pick up 2 more from this collection that I kind of have my eye on.

Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers (AKA Apocalips)

Hey Guys!!

Today's post is swatches of 3 colors I picked up from the Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer collection (Also known as Apocalips in the UK). I did haul these in a video on my channel and I promised swatch pictures so here they are:

Celestial is a nudey/mauvey pink. The most neautral color I picked up

Stellar is a bright coral. This is definitely my favorite color that I picked up. So bright and soooo gorgeous!

Apocaliptic is a bright rosey fuschia kind of color. Another really bright, really pigmented color that I love. My camera didn't pick up this color well, but its definitely more of a hot rosey pink

These are all liquid lip lacquer (liquid lipstick) things. They're all really pigmented and go on really smooth. They also wear really nicely. I'm really excited to have these in my collection and I will definitely go back and buy more!!!

Color Tattoo Pure Pigments Eyeshadows

Hey Guys!!

Today's post is a new to the drugstore item. I happened to spot these at my Walgreens and I picked up 4 colors. I did haul these in a video and promised swatches. The 4 colors I picked up are Potent Purple, Never Fade Jade, Barely Brazen and Breaking Bronze. Swatches below!

Never Fade Jade is a gorgeous jade color just like the name implies. This reminds me a lot of Edgy Emerald from the cream shadow color tattoo line

Barely Brazen is a light champagney color. This one reminds me a lot of Barely Branded from the creme shadow metal collection

Breaking Bronze is a really gorgeous golden bronze color. I don't think I have a Color Tattoo creme that matches this one

Potent Purple is a beautiful shimmery purple. The color matches Painted Purple from the creme line, but where that one is matte, this one is a shimmer. Beautiful color!

These are all so smooth and easy to blend. They are a little bit messy because they come in a sifted jar like many other loose shadow pigments do, but they are so creamy/buttery feeling and you don't need a lot to get a lot of color pay off. I have a feeling these are going to last me for a really long time! I'm definitely going to pick up more colors!

Beautifully Disney Unlock the Spell Collection - Swatches + Review

Hey guys!!

Today I have a super exciting post!! This is the second collection of the Disney Parks Beautifully Disney cosmetics line.

The Unlock the Spell collection was released end of June and is inspired by Tiana, Belle and Rapunzel. This collection has one eyeshadow quad, 3 nail polishes, and 3 lip glosses. Check out the pictures below! (Also, I apologize in advance for my wrecked cuticles, their dried out and cracked)

My Haul from the Unlock the Spell Collection

Beautiful Bayou. 2 coats. Medium Green creme. This was an easy and smooth 2 coats to work with. This color is my favorite of the 3. It reminds me a lot of Jade is the New Black by OPI. I will have to do a comparison of the two soon. This is a great swampy green kind of color. Inspired by Tiana.\

Let Your Hair Down. 2 coats. Bright magenta creme. This is a beautiful color. Took 2 easy coats for full opacity. Beautiful bright magenta. I love this color!!! I will probably be wearing this on my toes a lot for the rest of the summer!

Provincial Madmoiselle. 3 Coats. This is a pretty medium yellow. This one took 3 coats. Was a little bit patchy but definitely a really good formula for a yellow. Usually yellows are crap, but this one is pretty fantastic. This is a gorgeous color. It will definitely be a favorite for this summer!

That's it for the nail polishes, now for the swatches of the quad and the lip glosses

The shadows are beautiful and smooth and the 3 glosses are nice and smooth, not sticky in the least and they're really pigmented. My favorite is Spell Breaker. So beautiful!!!

I highly recommend you guys check out this collection if you are in any of the Disney Parks or in the general area. These are available at Vault 28 in Downtown Disney in California and in Tren-D in Downtown Disney in Florida. Some of the Wickedly Beautiful collection items are also available online at the Disney Store Website.

Just like the Wickedly Beautiful Collection, I love everything in this collection!!!!

As far as the brushes, They are super soft and pick up, buff out, and blend products so nicely! I used them to apply my makeup today and I was actually really impressed! I'll have to use them a couple more times to know exactly how I feel about them, but I will do a full review when I do!

I'm also doing a GIVEAWAY in my video on youtube that I will be putting up about this collection, make sure you check out the link below to find out how to enter to win!!! :)

Thanks so much for reading as always!

Textured Polish Spam: Swatches + Review.

Hey Guys!

Today's post is all about textured polishes. I know, I know, I have said before how much I hate this trend and all that, but I decided to give the trend another shot and bought a bunch of different brands, colors, and types of textured polishes to see if any of them would grow on me enough to actually wear them. This post today is about all those polishes I hauled and what I think of them all! Lots to get through, so here we go!

First up, Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Collection. I got 4 out of the (I think) 8 colors in this collection.

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Sour Apple. 2 Coats. Mint green.

Natural Light, Shade

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight
Cotton Candies. 2 Coats. Bubblegum Pink

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Razzleberry. 2 Coats. Medium blue. Warning: This color stains like crazy!

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Lick-O-Rich. 2 Coats. Black. TERRIBLE name! Kinda sounds dirty... either that or my mind is in the gutter... which it probably is!

That's it for the Sugar Coat colors I picked up. These colors were really opaque. I used 2 coats on them and waited for it to completely dry to its rough texture. These weren't too hard to work with, and overall I like how they went on. I still really dislike how they feel on my finger tips though. I did experiment with adding some topcoat and after one coat of topcoat, the texture was tolerable and it still had a textured look to it. I might be able to wear them that way!

Next, I picked up some of the China Glaze Texture Collection colors.

Natural Light, Shade

 Natural Light, Direct Sunlight
In the Rough. 2 coats. Chartreuse-y yellowey/green color. I really love the color on this!

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Itty, Bitty & Gritty. 2 Coats. Pinky Coral.

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Of Coarse!. 2 Coats. Mediumish Blue

That's it for the CG Texture collection colors I got. Unline the Sally Hansen Sugar Coat, these were thicker and harder to apply than the Sally Hansen. I'm really liking the Sally Hansen formula over the China Glaze ones, I just found these a pain to apply... especially In the Rough which is really sad because it was my favorite of the colors.

Next, a couple of Julie G Gumdrop Collection polishes.

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Rock Candy. Dark green gritty glitter and small hex silver glitter.

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Blueberry Fizz. 2 Coats. Light-ish Blue gritty glitter with small silver hex glitter.

Those are the 2 Julie G that I bought. These were okay. They just feel like gritty glitter. These are really gorgeous. I might go and pick up one more. I find that when I slather it with topcoat, I love how they look and feel!

Last polish I picked up in the textured haul is a color from the OPI The Bond Girls Collection.

Natural Light, Direct Sunlight

Natural Light, Shade
Tiffany Case. 2 Coats. Gorgeous turquoise with small turquoise hex glitter. I love this color so much! I hate that its a liquid sand color, but I love this color enough to suck it up and just topcoat and Gelous the heck out of it in order to wear it!

So that's it for my texture polish spam. I hope you guys enjoyed it! While I really dislike the textured trend, they make for some pretty colors that when worked with, I can definitely wear like regular polish!
