China Glaze Agro

Hunger Games! So I finally got the book but I haven't started reading it yet... been too damn busy! Either way... I'm loving the China Glaze Hunger Games collection... today's post is another color from there!

Direct Sunlight
Shade
Artificial Light
China Glaze Agro. Metallic olive green with gold shimmer. 2 coats. I love greens so its no surprise that I love this one! My friend thinks this color is hideous but its one of those colors you either love or hate, kind of like China Glaze Trendsetter... well I love this. When I first saw the press-release this was definitely one of the ones that jumped out at me so I had to have it. Formula was pretty great. Could have done with 1 coat, but I've become a 2-coater type of person at least so I had to do the second coat. I especially love this in the sun!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

Barry M Lilac Foil

Today is more from my international swap with Raych @ Polished Criminails! (Again with the band-aid... swatched this on the same day as the others after I had cut my pinky!)

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Shade

Artificial Light
Barry M Lilac Foil. 2 coats. This is a lilac foil, just as the name implies. I love this. LOVE this. This is another one of the ones that Raych picked up for me and once she told me I looked it up and was floored by the swatches so I couldn't wait to get my hot little hands on it. I love how lilacs look on my skin tone and the fact that this is a foil makes it look even better! I want to get more of the Barry M foils now!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

GOSH Gasoline

Today's post is yet another polish from my mega swap with Raych and I'm in love with this one too! (Once again, please ignore the band-aid on my pinky... I swatched this when I had cut it)

Natural Light - Sunlight

Natural Light - Shade

Artificial Light
GOSH Gasoline. 3 coats. Purple base with blue and pink micro glitter. OMG. This color is heaven. Its almost like a glass flecks kind of color and a fantastic glitter all rolled in to one. This is one Raych picked out on her own for me and holy crap I'm so glad she did! I would have never picked something like this for myself, but it is most definitely a welcome addition to my hoard *ahem* collection. The formula was kind of sheer but for a color like this, I really don't mind! Also, this is random but I'm kind of in love with the Gosh and Model's Own bottles haha I love round bottles! Thank you Raych!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

Natural Light

Artificial Light

Harvest Moon from China Glaze. 2 coats. Coppery-Bronze Metallic :) I'm kind of in love with this color. It looks great on my skin tone and its a really fun summer color. I wasn't originally going to buy this but I thought 'what the hell' and I bought it thinking that I would probably sell it or swap it... nope! This one is staying safe in my helmer. I love it.

Thanks for reading! Until next time!

Model's Own - Nude Beige

Today's post is a gorgeous nude that actually looks fantastic on me *gasp*

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Artificial Light
Nude Beige from Model's Own. Nude creme. I have NEVER found a nude that looks good on me and thanks to Raych now I have one! Most nudes are either too pale or too dark and me and this one is perfect. I can't get over how great it looks on me. I've needed a nude palette cleaner that's not OPI Bubble Bath, Coney Island Cotton Candy etc... basically the colors that are more of a sheer jelly vs. this one is a perfect creme. The formula is amazing. I only used 2 coats for perfection. I'm in love with Model's Own!

China Glaze Stone Cold

Today's post is a fantastic matte polish that I love from the Hunger Games collection!

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Shade

Artificial Light

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight (W/ Topcoat)

Natural Light - Shade (W/ Topcoat)
Stone Cold from the new China Glaze Hunger Games Collection. Matte grey with silver glitter. I love this color! I especially love that its a matte color. Formula was great, did 2 quick coats just to fix a few things and of course a matte dries quickly so I love that! I put a coat of Seche Vite over this for the last 2 pictures and it looks great both ways! I knew this was one of the ones I wanted as soon as I saw the press release and I'm so glad I got it!

Butter London - The Dark Knight

Today's post is a polish that I've wanted for so long and I finally got it for my birthday from Miss Princess Mari. THANK YOU MARI!! I'm in love. On to the swatches.

Butter London The Dark Knight. Multi-glitter in a black base. This is 3 coats. I love this color despite its 3 coats. First coat was sheer, second coat was a little streaky so I needed the third to even it out. This was taken in artificial light since I did my nails at night. I still have this color on since I haven't had time to change it. Its work exceptionally well considering I type a lot for one of my jobs and I tinker with heavy things and electronics for my other job, not to mention homework and everything else I do daily. I've had this color on since Sunday and it is now Thursday which is a really long time for me to have nail polish on. I only have some minor tip wear... I'm impressed!

I guess that's all I have to say about this... next is layering order.

Layering Order:
Julep Nail Therapy
Seche Clear
The Dark Knight
Gelous
Seche Vite

Kleancolor Chunky Holo Clover

Tonight's last post is a very holiday appropriate :)

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Shade

Artificial Light
Kleancolor Chunky Holo Clover over China Glaze Gaga for Green. 2 coats of GFG with 2 coats of CHC on top. I love this combination, actually and the name of the Kleancolor makes it very St. Patrick's Day appropriate :) The only thing I hate is the smell of Kleancolor... it smells horrendous! :( But for results like this, I can deal!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

Pre-Birthday Polish Haul

Hey, everyone! Tonight's second post is my Pre-Birthday haul from tonight. Tonight I went to the gym and then to my nail supply place and Ulta with my friend and I got myself some polish and she bought me some stuff. Thanks Princess Mari for my birthday presents!

The first three are my presents from Miss Princess Mari :) She bought me my very first Butter London, The Dark Knight! I LOVE it!!! She also bought me OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam and Thanks a Windmillion :) yay!!

As far as what I bought myself, I got Zoya Maisie and Opal, Color Club Metamorphosis, Fly With Me, Tru Passion, and Sparkle and Soar and I also got a Jade glitter in Iced Blue.

Can't wait to play with these and especially my very first Butter London!!! :)

Glitter Removal - Foil Method

Happy almost St. Patrick's Day! :) My birthday is tomorrow and since I won't be around to post... I have 3 posts for you tonight! The first one is something I've gotten a lot of questions about from non-polish-aholics, so I figured I would make a post about it. I will be removing Model's Own Emerald City which if you don't know is a super chunky green glitter.

Before
First, cut out 10 squares of foil, big enough to go around your your finger and cover the tip of it completely.

Next, soak (I mean, SOAK) a cotton ball and put it on your nail.

Wrap the foil around the nail and then over the top of it.

Alien Fingers!
Leave the foil/remover on your nail for 5 or 10 minutes depending on how thick and chunky the polish is. I left it on for 10 minutes on this particular mani. After 10 minutes, remove the foil with a little pressure and a twisting motion to help the polish come off faster and easier.... and voila!

After
Hope you guys learned something if you didn't already know this method and if you did, thanks for sticking around until the end! I have a couple more posts for tonight, stick around!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

Barry M Spring Green

Hey there! Today I'm continuing my green for St. Patrick's Day week with yet another swap polish I got from my international swap!

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Shade

Artificial Light
Barry M Spring Green is a really gorgeous minty green creme. This is 2 coats, no topcoat. The formula on this was pretty fantastic. Pretty easy to work with. I'm fairly certain I have something similar in my collection but I'm keeping this because its a Barry M ha! I really like this and the other Barry Ms I have tried (swatches coming soon!) I don't have much more to say so I'll keep it short and sweet!

Thanks for reading, until next time!

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Artificial Light
Model's Own Emerald Black is probably my favorite of the Beetlejuice colors because it combines two of my favorite colors... black and green! :) As with all the other Model's Own so far, the formula is fantastic! :) I'm totally in love with this brand so far. yay!!! This is 2 coats.

Thanks for reading, until next time!

Model's Own Golden Green

Hey there! Today's post is another green in honor of St. Patrick's Day week and another Model's Own color I got from my swap with Rachel of Polished Criminails

(Please ignore the band aid on my pinky... I cut myself with scissors while being an idiot -_-')

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Direct Sunlight

Natural Light - Shade

Model's Own Golden Green. This color is from the Beetlejuice duochrome collection. This is olive green with gold duochrome. I used 2 coats for this picture. I really love this color. I have a weak spot for olive greens and this one is no exception. I'm in love with this and the other colors from Beetlejuice I got... so in love!!! The formula was really good and it dried fairly quickly. Yay Model's Own!!!
