Sally Hansen Satin Glam Swatches + Review

Hiya!

Today on the blog I have swatches of 3 of the Satin Glam polishes from Sally Hansen.  These are really cool.  They're glittery polishes that dry to a satin finish (somewhere between matte and glossy). On to the pictures and review!

Teal Tulle. 2 Coats, Glittery teal.  This is my favorite of the ones I own. Its beautiful and even though it has a satin finish, it catches the sun beautifully! Definitely will be wearing this a lot this spring/summer I think.  I used this a while ago in a "Sully" from Monsters Inc/Monsters University mani with Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Grape Shifter on top and it was my favorite mani I did in a long time.  I forgot to take pictures of it (d'oh!) but next time I do it I will be sure to blog.

Silk Onyx.  2 Coats, black base shimmery silver throughout.  This is a really cool color, when it dries it kind of reminds me of a pencil, if that makes any sense! The color is beautiful and the finish is beautiful as well, the silver shimmer throughout catches the sun really nicely even if it is a satin finish.

Go Gold.  2 Coats, shimmery light gold.  This is really beautiful too, its much more glittery and in your face on the nails than the other 2 are, I feel like.  Its still a gorgeous color but I feel like I'm wearing a ground up coin on my nails or something, I don't know.  Something about this color I'm just not feeling.  I feel like the other 2 colors I own has shimmer that's a little more subtle, but not this guy.  Even with the satin finish, the brightness is definitely visible.

Overall, the formula on these guys is really good.  Really smooth and easy to put on and wear.  They also look great with a matte topcoat to make them completely matte, and they also look great with a glossy topcoat to make it a more traditional polish.  Wear time is pretty decent on these alone, but if a matte topcoat is put over it it lasts longer and the matte topcoats kind of satin out after a day or two of use.   I think that's about it!

Lorac Pro Palette - Swatches + Review

Howdy!!

Today on the blog I have swatches of the Lorac Pro palette and a mini review.

All the names in this palette describe the color perfectly, so I won't be doing a color breakdown like I usually do. That being said, on to the pictures!!

I love how sleek and pretty this palette looks. The only downside to the packaging is that it gets really dirty, really quickly because of the finish. Its kind of a satin-y kind of finish to the cardboard  and it attracts dust and shadow like no other!

I love that this palette has one row of shimmer and one row of matte. Makes for a huge variety of looks that can be created!

The Matte Shades

The Shimmer Shades

All these shadows are beautiful and smooth, almost creamy even the matte shades (which really impressed me!). They are gorgeous and so easy to blend and I gotta say, I'll probably reach for this more than my Naked 2 Palette! My favorites in this palette are Gold, Slate, Black, Mauve and Sable (which I use for my eyebrows) Overall, its a beautiful and fantastic palette to work with! So happy I broke down and got it.

This palette is $42 and can be found at Ulta, Sephora, or loraccosmetics.com

Beautifully Disney- Swatches & Review

Hey everyone!

Today I have a post I'm super excited about. This morning I went to Disney Vault 28 at Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim for the launch of Disney Park's new makeup line Beautifully Disney.

In case anyone wasn't aware, I'm a HUGE Disney nerd. Disney is one of my biggest obsessions (besides nail polish and cosmetics) So the fact that Disney itself was putting out a makeup line, well... I HAD to be there!

They let us come in about 10 am to start buying the products and I picked up 2 eyeshadow quads and all 8 nail polishes offered in this premiere collection called "Wickedly Beautiful"

Swatches of everything will be below, but first, I wanted to share some pictures of the event :)

The stuff in the window before we were let in to actually buy it. So pretty!

This was the set up inside. I totally want the mirror with the words across it!

The display of everything in the line.

Polish!!! ( I guess I was too excited because its blurry! oops!)

My Haul

And now on to the swatches!

Off To The Ball. 3 Coats. This is a milky baby blue color. This color is gorgeous and I love how this looks on my skin tone. It did need 3 coats for full even ness though. First 2 coats were a bit streaky. This is inspired by Cinderella.

Midnight Hour. 2 Coats. Blood red jelly. I really like this color, but its not unique. I don't really have too much to say about it other than it was easy to apply. I don't like how reds look on me, so I don't usually wear them. This is inspired by Lady Tremaine (Cinderella's Stepmother)

Enchanted Kiss. 2 Coats. This is a really gorgeous creamy bubblegum pink. This could have easily been a 1 coat color, but I chose to do to because I can! I usually don't like pinks, but this one is pretty! This is inspired by Aurora (Sleeping Beauty).

Mistress of Evil. 1 coat over Off To The Ball. This is a silver hex glitter in a clear base. Really pretty, and it wasn't that sparse. I did have to dot glitter on a couple of bald spots, but overall I feel like this is a pretty good glitter! The only reason I semi don't like this is because its supposed to be inspired by Maleficent, and I just don't see it! Maleficent is my favorite villain and I wish they would have done something different with it. Its still a pretty glitter and I'll definitely get use out of it!

Looking for my Prince. 1 coat. This is your basic cherry, fire engine red. Like I said above, I don't like reds so this color is kinda eh to me. (It is really easy to work with... 1 coat!!!). This is inspired by Snow White.

Just One Bite. 1 Coat over Enchanted Kiss. Fine and hex magenta glitter in a clear base. This is one of my favorites of this collection. Above is one coat and I didn't have to go back and touch up too many bald spots. Its awesome. It looks gorgeous over Enchanted Kiss and I have a feeling I'm gonna love this come summer time! This is inspired by the Evil Queen.

Ocean Mist. 2 Coats. Glass fleck green with gold. This is my absolute favorite color of the entire collection! It really looks a lot like Zoya Apple (I will definitely have to do a comparison post!) but I don't really care because this color is absolutely beautiful and it was so much easier to apply than its Zoya counterpart. Very happy with this color! This is inspired by Ariel, The Little Mermaid

Diva of the Deep. 2 coats. Deep purple with gold shimmer. This color applied so nicely and its so beautiful. It definitely is reminiscent of Ursula, whom this polish is inspired by. This is one of my favorites from the collection and I'm sure I will get tons of use out of it!!

Overall, these polishes were wonderful to work with. There is no dud among them formula wise. The only thing for me are the reds (I just don't like how reds look on me) and The Mistress of Evil. I feel like that should have been a green or something because of Maleficent's color. Its still a beautiful polish and I know I will get use out of it!

Next, I'll be showing you the quads I bought and some swatches of those :D

Enchanted Kiss Quad. This is the neutral quad offered in this collection. All colors are great. I think I'll probably get a lot of everyday use from this!

Midnight Hour Quad. This is the "smoky" quad. Really pretty colors and pretty well pigmented. This is more of a "going out" look for me. Still love it!

Swatches of both:

Overall I love all the things Disney has to offer in this new cosmetics line. They have said they have many collections releasing and I'm really excited to see what other colors come out in the future!!

China Glaze Prismatics Collection

Hey everyone! Today's post is the entire Prismatics collection from China Glaze! Some of these are really hard to describe so please bear with me!!

Artificial Light
Natural Light

Natural Light
Optical Illusion. This looks to be aqua micro glitter with a slight purple around the edges packed with multicolor glitter throughout. This is hands down my favorite of this collection... it reminds me of mermaids! This is 3 coats. Formula is great. Dries super fast, but this is a gritty glitter so if you have Gelous, I recommend using it with these!

Natural Light

Natural Light
Polarized. Silver microglitter with multicolor medium glitter throughout. There's no duo in this one.. its just silver with party glitter. I really like this despite its lack of duo that the rest of its siblings have. This is 3 coats, dries fast and like the others is gritty.

Artificial Light

Natural Light

Natural Light

Natural Light
Liquid Crystal. This one is one of the stronger duochromes in this collection. I swatched it over black on the ring finger to show off that duochrome. Its mostly blue but it shifts to a lilac/purple kind of color. This is one of the sheer ones in this collection but works amazingly over black. This is 3 coats alone and 1 coat over black on the ring finger.

Artificial Light

Natural Light

Natural Light
Prism. This is a purple/pink/blue duochrome with the multicolor glitter. This is 3 coats and 1 coat over black on the ring finger. This one is also kind of sheer, but I'm sure I could have built it up to be opaque I was just too lazy too -_-'. It looks gorgeous over black. I love it!!

Artificial Light

Natural Light

Natural Light

Natural Light
Full Spectrum. 3 coats, 1 coat over black on ring finger. This is kind of a baby pink with a purple duochrome and the multicolor glitter. I really like this one too... I'm just not much of a pink person!

Artificial Light

Natural Light

Natural Light
Ray-diant. 3 coats, and 1 coat over black on ring finger. This is probably one of my favorites too! This is a greenish gold shimmer packed with that multicolor glitter. It looks breathtaking over black and I'm absolutely in love with this!! Then again I love gold/green duochromes!

This collection overall impressed me more than I thought it would, especially when I swatched them over black! Good collection for glitter lovers!

Thanks for reading, until next time!
